[ That's asking a lot, Kara. Damian doesn't trust easily. The answer he should give is no - he truly barely knows her, he doesn't truly know her world or where her loyalties are.

[ that--was the answer she was hoping for, but she didn't expect just how much she would like hearing that he trusts her. it's half thrill and half warm-and-fuzzy feelings. her ears go a little pink at the tips. ]

[ This feels like a trap. Damian frowns immediately, folding his arms uncomfortably across his chest. His face feels hot - not in the 'I'm about to catch fire' way, but in a way he isn't actually sure how to peg. Embarrassment, maybe? ]

[ None of this sounds promising. Or - it might if he were a different sort of person. She's insistent, and he's fairly sure she's not about to throw him into a wall to test her strength or something.

[ good mood is back in full force! kara steps right up into his space, trying and failing to hide just how excited she is as she waits for him to hold on and close his eyes. ]

[ Fine. Fine. He'll... awkwardly put his arms around her. What the hell is she up to? ]

You won't. [ she slips her arms around his waist and holds on tight. ] I promise.

[ and then, with a bit of concentration, she lifts them off the ground. it's harder to do this with another person than it used to be. without her super strength making it easy to carry other people. but even weakened as she is, she's still strong enough to hold him for a little bit. ]
