--oh, thanks! ( almost surprised, but the smile on his lips says something different when jon swings his legs in over the ledge and stands himself up straight, offers a spoon over to damian as soon as he's got his feet planted on the ground. )
( fine, fine, whatever. he'll just sit himself down on the ground right here, bag between legs and start pulling out tubs of ice cream. leftovers from his parttime job, but they still look nice.

People were fighting on whether or not to throw a couple kids in as sacrifices. Everything was going crazy. Heck, everything is still kind of crazy. And I guess it's not the craziness that really bothers me? Dad and I got stuck on a island full of dinosaurs, once. Damian and I got stuck someplace else, too. But here it's--just me and Kara. And I love Kara, but we never really got to spend a lot of time together before either.

I miss my family and my friends and Krypto and Metropolis and Hamilton. Nothing here is going to bring any of that back, I know that. I'm not dumb. And you're not my Damian, obviously. But that doesn't make me delusional either. You're still a Damian Wayne. And I can tell, ( back to the spoon in hand, even if he's not shoving it into the ice cream pile now. ) that maybe you keep pushing and saying you don't want friends and you don't want to hang out or whatever, but you don't like this any more than me. Maybe it's for different reasons, I don't know. But you're lonely, too.
So unless you like, can actually say you hate me and never want me around ever again, I figure we can be a little less lonely if we hang out together.

I've never been on my own this long before. And I'm getting really homesick. So it's great that nothing fell apart and nobody died! I'd never say it wasn't--but I wish everything got fixed and there was a way to get back home too.
