i had a dog when i was a kid, you know. scrappy little thing before bruce, back when i was with my parents still when there was something bothering me and i couldn't tell anyone else? i'd talk to him. and it always made me feel better. i trusted him more than i trusted anyone so she's yours. dogs are expensive to keep up here. they take a lot of work but they'll always love you, and always be there when shit goes south

( damian fucked up. hurt jason when he had absolutely no intention of causing him pain. he knows that--it must have hurt damian so much more than it did him. and it took jason fucking forever to pull himself back together, too; to rush over to the nearest sink, vomit out whatever shit he had left in his stomach, stand himself back up straight and steady fingers enough to repatch torn open skin.
it was worth it not to panic damian. and going out of his way to get the dog was worth it to give him something. a connection. a living creature who will be more than happy to sit around and listen to him without judgments. god, jason wouldn't judge either, they all know the shit he's pulled. but considering how much damian hides, he doubts they see it the same way. )

there are some high end bars towards the upper ends of the city harder to get into but full of pretentious assholes fun to fuck around with, you know there was a guy, drunk as hell, sporting around a marshmallow dog who wanted to take some high ass risks cost me all the goddamn credits i had from fighting in the rings to get as far as i did told you you should've held onto them
The woman who runs the safehouse is here snarling at me about the dog. I think you'd best clear this up with her. And I'll do that in the future. Less headache for all involved.
