[She knows she impressed him, though. She totally kicked his ass at his first "test", so his goading doesn't bother her. This time, Kate makes a grab for his arm, trying to jerk him forward so she can drive her knee into his middle.]

Truth be told, nine times out of ten she prefers to take out people quickly and sneakily if her bow isn't an option. This isn't that. She sweeps a quick kick at his side, hoping at least to distract him, then follows up with a sharp jab.]
