[ well, after a particularly unpleasant dream, she's up. and can't sleep. cassandra doesn't quite want to see dick or steph, like this--even though normally they might be her go-to people. her whole body feels like it's numb and buzzing all at once with anxious energy. it's a terrible feeling, and she wants nothing more than to beat a punching bag until it breaks--
cassandra feels her leg bouncing as she sits up, firing off an impulsive message. ]
[ He's up. Because he's always up. Sleep doesn't come easy for him - it never has, and he's taught his body to rely on as little as possible. The message blips in front of his eye, obscuring the terrible lifetime movie he's watching in lieu of anything better to do.
He goes to it. Already tense and uneasy, he doesn't want to deal with the little assassin his father decided to take in. He doesn't want to feel lesser. ]
[ cassandra's just as tense, but moving through dance maneuvers when he arrives. there's a heavy punching bag with a snapped chain on the floor, ripped and with stuffing spilling out of it. looks like she's been busy. ]
[ It wouldn't feel right winning on his terms - or whatever this is supposed to be. He doesn't think he can manage friendly right now, not in combat. ]
