I fought metas all the time.
( got his ass kicked all the time, too. but he had an amazon and his own super to back him up. friends. people who gave more than two shits about him. )
Going by my rules didn't work worth jack shit, ( just lost him everything he had, actually. ) so we'll play by yours. For now.

You got it.
( a building is a building, jason's not picky. as long as it's got some walls and they're not in danger of collapsing in, it works. so he swings a leg over the edge of the one they're on top of, pauses for a moment and--jumps, grabbing onto the side of the one next to the roof they're on and sliding his way back down. )

see you soon
[Relatively soon, anyway. Kate finds the rooftop easily enough, but getting up is a bit more annoying than usual, considering she doesn't have any gear and she's not Spider-Man. Once she manages to scramble up over the edge and haul herself up, she sees... Nothing.]
Cute.
[She shouldn't have expected anything less. Kate plants her hands on her hips, searching the shadows for signs of movement.]
You know, if you wanted a date, you could have picked a nicer spot.

[Kate heads over to the little pile of makeshift weapons he's made, letting out a long-suffering sigh at the sight of the slingshot. Man, she'd do anything for her bow. The birdarangs are closer to what she's used to, so she starts with those, tossing one just to get a feel for the weight.
The first target is simple—she sights and throws in one smooth motion, hitting what's likely meant to be the bullseye easily. The next two go similarly, but for the further targets she switches to the slingshot, just so he can't say she didn't use it, as much as it pains her. The dicier angles don't seem to trip her up, either. Admittedly, she's been doing stuff like this with Clint for so long that this is second nature.
Once she hits the farthest target, she tosses the slingshot to Damian.]
Tada. I thought you'd give me something harder.

[Okay. Simple enough. He's way bigger than her, but that's the story of her life.
Kate takes a deep breath, then aims a sharp right hook at his jaw. It's a little bit of a test—she wants to see how quickly he can move with all that bulk, but it's going to become readily apparent where her real talents lie. While she's good at hand-to-hand, she's definitely unpolished.]

[Verdict: Strong and very, very fast. Kate sees it coming but doesn't have time to correct, and she goes down, back hitting the rooftop painfully.]
Ow.
[Kind of embarrassing, but she's clearly impressed. She sits up, making a face.]
Best two out of three?
